I grew up on the beaches and in the hills of Vancouver Island, where I always had a camera in my hand, unknowingly becoming a bit of a documentarian from a very young age. I have shoeboxes full of old pictures sitting in storage that I can never bring myself to get rid of with captures of basically everyone I knew from childhood.

Following my passion, I went to school for photojournalism in my early 20s, but it still took me some time to find my path in the photography world. I didn't follow the traditional route [and took many missteps along the way] but finally found my footing in the sports & entertainment world. I thrive in the chaos of fast action and an ever changing environment. 

I spent two seasons as a photographer and content creator for the NHL and my summers running around stages and rodeo grounds, playing with film cameras and road tripping home with my dogs before relocating to a small, remote community near Canada's Arctic - because yah gotta keep things interesting.
